1 c. sugar
2 T. shortening
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1 c. mashed bananas
3 1/2 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
3 c. flour
3/4 c. walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9"x5" loaf pan. Cream sugar, shortening, and egg. Stir in milk and bananas. Stir in baking powder, salt and flour. Stir in nuts. Put in pan. Bake 60-70 minutes (until bamboo skewer comes out clean). Cool 10-15 minutes in pan, then pop out (may need to run spatula around sides of pan) and cool on rack. |
